Overview

hfaHawaii Foodservice Alliance, LLC, began servicing the grocery industry of Hawaii with private label commercial baked goods in March of 2002. Over the years, many national bakers have partnered with HFA to service the state of Hawaii with their most popular brands and products. Today, HFA is the largest locally owned baked good supplier in the state of Hawaii, with full-service operations on Oahu, Maui, Kauai, and the Big Island.

Challenge

“We were using an independent computer guy when things broke,” explained Andrew Chun, HFA’s Chief Financial Officer. But after initiating a series of new IT initiatives, including relocating its services offsite and implementing handheld computers, the company became dissatisfied with its current IT provider. “We began looking for someone who could offer system support,” Chun said. “We were referred to Intech.”
