Overview
Kahala Nui is a non-profit retirement community in Honolulu, Hawaii that opened in 2005. With 270 private apartment homes, they offer assisted living, nursing, and memory support. They have 1 location, 3 servers, and 50 users and consider their computer network and data security vital to their business. “We consider ourselves technology dependent.” Said Sue Longacre, Executive Assistant

Challenge
Intech faced many structural obstacles in Kahala Nui’s new building. Inadequate network cabling threatened the proper design of their network, but instead of recommending replacement cabling, Intech engineers were able to make modifications to the existing cabling. Intech made the best out of the situation without compromising cabling standards or quality. They implemented a design that achieved a seamless computer network while maintaining the beauty of the new environment.
