Make-A-Wish Hawaii’s annual holiday fundraiser, Jingle Rock Run, happened on Sunday December 4 th at the Ko’olina Resort! A team from Intech-Hawaii and many other local businesses and families kicked off 2022’s holiday season by celebrating with the Make-A-Wish O’hanas. This was an amazing event with lots of Hawaii food vendors, entertainers and a 2.5 mile walk/run. We were blessed with a sunset, light rains from above and thousands of happy participants dressed in festive holiday costumes. What better way to spread cheer than by giving the greatest gift to our keiki with critical illnesses: the gift of hope.
To help more young people facing life-threatening conditions live happier and healthier lives, Make-A- Wish grants wishes to sick kids for one day every year. Suddenly, these kids now enter a new realm of possibility—where the excitement and anticipation of fulfilling their dream makes them and their families feel happy, healthy, and hopeful again.
Giving our keikis a chance at making their own special day memorable could help them cope better when faced with difficult medical conditions later in life. It lets them replace fears with hopes, anxieties with smiles, and sad memories with happy ones. Helping others means we get to experience what we love best—giving back. This is why Make-A-Wish is a priority for our team at Intech-Hawaii.
